“The analyst as object in the patient’s and analyst’s mind. You are not the object you think you are.” Findings from the Comparative Clinical Methods Research Project. This paper explores a selection of cases from the more than 30 analytic cases studied by the CCM working party in North America.  The paper looks particularly at how different analysts from different schools of analytic thought (Kleinian, Self Psychological, Relational, and Freudian-identified) see themselves implicitly and explicitly as ‘objects’ within the psychoanalysis. …
