Colin Clark is an ambitious 23-year-old production assistant determined to make a name for himself in film. While working on the production of The Prince and the Showgirl, young Clark seizes the opportunity to befriend the iconic and newly married Marilyn Monroe, when husband Arthur Miller takes some time away. In one enchanted week together, Clark gives Monroe a taste of his life in England — far away from the bright lights of Hollywood and the suffocating pressures of fame. Our discussant Stefanie Speanburg, LCSW, psychotherapist in private practice and candidate in the Emory University Psychoanalytic Institute, is working on a doctorate in Women, Gender and Sexuality studies and will provide psychoanalytic and feminist perspectives.
